SKU Versioning Controls and Scheduled Releases
Co-packers manage multiple SKUs (retail counts, bilingual panels, promotional options) on the same floor. Sourcing must define item numbers, barcode compliance, and line-clearance steps to prevent mismatching identical-looking outer boxes.
Storing massive SFL inventories creates congestion. Utilizing supplier-held safety stock and scheduled releases delivers blanks matching the weekly production schedule. Material flow controls require close coordination across product, insert, and shipper arrivals.

Displays, Fulfillment, and Surface Coatings
Co-packers often build prepacked SFL displays or counter shippers. Sourcing should coordinate displays and shipping covers, verifying structural load stability when prepacked units move through freight carrier networks.
Additionally, printed surfaces must resist conveyor scuffing. Gloss, matte, or spot varnish coatings should balance appearance with rub resistance. Implementing initial production trials with actual SFL blanks, inserts, and master cartons confirms loading tolerances before full runs.
