Control SKU Versioning and Paired Inventory
Co-packing lines often manage related SKUs, creating versioning risks. Clear SKU identifiers, barcode validation, and defined line-clearance steps prevent components from getting mixed. Bundles and tooling must carry labels readable on the assembly floor.
Additionally, programs must track cards and blisters as paired inventories. Excess cards cannot compensate for blister shortages, and leftover blisters are stranded when graphics change. Supplier-held safety stocks and scheduled releases keep components in balance without cluttering the co-packing floor.

Fulfillment, Displays, and Shipping Protection
Co-packers often assemble prepacked peg displays or counter trays for national retail. Displays must be matched with shipping covers to prevent cards from falling off pegs or getting bent. Master corrugated shipping cases should protect cards from compression.
Brands, suppliers, and co-packers must operate as one coordinated team. Setting up initial production trials verifies loading clearances, sealer platter configurations, and barcode scans before high-volume runs begin, assuring a smooth path to U.S. retail channels.
